One of my favorite Murphy's laws. "Nothing is as permanent as that which is called temporary..." BUT, in this case it's very temporary. Added the ballast resistor to make up for the lack of a resistance wire, then started having weird starting issues. Usually after it was warm. Finally dawned on me that even though the '67 6 cylinder cars didn't have the resistance wire, the V8 cars did. The green wires go to a momentary switch I push while cranking to start, bypassing the resistor and giving full power to the coil. I'm using a mini starter, so I don't have the stock starter relay with the "I" terminal. That's why I have to add a different relay to mimic the stock V8 set-up. Tom at M & H Electric Fabricators (who makes the ignition kit for American Autowire), was very helpful through the troubleshooting.

With the driving season over for 2024, time for some updates and improvements. Bought a bag of lens and housings for a dollar at an AMC show. Found two good back-up lens in it to replace my melted and cracked lenses. New LED on the drivers side..

LED bulb looks good. In my experience incandescent bulbs that are small are dim and useless. Larger bulbs are brighter but melt the lens.

Yep, both sides had an 1156 bulb, so both sides were evenly melted..

First drive to work of the season, and now with new improved headlights. It's 11 miles for me to get to the expressway, with plenty of spots for deer to spring out..

Getting an AMC 20 axle ready for the car. narrowed slightly to pull the wheels in a bit more and still leaving room for my rear disc brake set-up. Added 3" tube over the stock tube, one for easier alignment when cutting the tubes, and two, the 4 link kit is designed for 3" axle tubes. Hoping to have it ready to install over the winter.

I really like that green color. Is that an AMC original color? I think it is

Finally at a point to start working on the 4 link rear suspension. Had just enough 3" tube left to make spacers to use on the AMC 15, to simulate 3" axle tubes. Cleaned up the area for the cross bar, sure is nice working with such a clean car. Also taking measurements for ride height
