Anyone know exactly where the signal flasher is on a 66 American. tried looking under the dash. Followed the wires out of the column to a connector then through the left side kick panel metal. Usually they are not this hard to find. Thanks

Later models had it clipped to the back of the instrument cluster. Maybe look there. Hard to believe it's that complicated. How many wires can you possibly have behind the dash of a 66?

I'm sure you'll find them soon, when I look for stuff on my rambler I find it pretty quick, this old cars wires are very simple, and yours is a later model so it will have a few more wires, but I assume not much more, shouldn't be a road block for you for too much longer!

Near the base of the column, or behind the cluster. If your car has 4-way flashers - it was an option in 66 - then it will have two flasher units.

Start a thread in Parts Wanted for a '66 instrument cluster and ask for pics, you'll have an answer in no time...

I went through my '66 TSM and the V8 TSM supplement. The emergency flasher wiring is diagrammed, the signal flasher isn't even mentioned....probably because they were all familiar with the instrument cluster and it's a simple plug-in part. I also googled the cluster and couldn't find one picture.
