I have a 64 Classic, 287 engine with Power brakes. I have a hard pedal after start up and it remains hard to press. It stops well when pushed hard. All the brakes are new from the MC to the wheels. I had the booster rebuilt about a month ago. It has the correct 11/32 vacuum hose and holds a steady 18 inches of vacuum at idle. The check valve works well and when pulled off the power booster you can hear the suction. I'm at a loss why it doesn't feel like power brakes. It appears to be a later 60's or early 70's booster. Someone told me I might need to adjust the master cylinder rod but I don't see any way to adjust it. Any advice would be appreciated.
