So I pulled one of the steelies off the back of my '63 wagon and had my brother dismount the tire. I had originally thought that these wheels were 6" wide, but I measured it and it's a 5" rim (6" overall)?? Also, the backspacing was 3.75", which seems weird to me (really deep for a 5" rim). I'm planning to update the wheels to a U.S. Wheel series 48, but the catch is that they only offer 14"x6" with backspacings of 2" and 2.625". If I choose the 2.625" backspacing on a rim that will be 1" wider, will I have rubbing issues on the outside fender lip if I run a 195-70-14 tire? Oh, forgot to mention that this wagon will be on air ride, so i'm wondering if this would happen with the car low...
thanks,
~Graham
