I hate to repeat a question that's already been asked and answered, but a quick search of the forum did not get me the answer to this question. What year range would a 3217488 4 barrel intake manifold have come from? It has EGR.

I thought there was a post that listed all the different factory 4 barrel intakes but I couldn't find it. If someone could post a link I would be grateful.

Just an FYI: The search function on this forum is very poor at best. You'll have better luck typing your inquiries into Google. It does a great job of finding the thread that has the information on this forum.

How can that be a 69 intake if it has EGR?

That is not a '69 intake. That would be '73 or newer.

I believe that is a Jeep 75 to 78 spread bore for the 4350 carburetor.
Likely why you won't find any information on the AMC forum for this.

I am pretty sure that it's not a 4350 style intake, it has an aftermarket Holley carb on it without an adapter.

Wouldn't it have to be a 73 or 74 then? AMC EGR intakes started in 73 and 4350 carb started in 75.

I decided that it was most likely a 73 engine because of what I discovered after I bought my 72 Javelin a few weeks ago. It has a 360 engine with a Turbo 400 transmission in it, even though it should have a 304 according to the VIN and a Chrysler Torqueflite transmission. The Turbo 400 made me think it was a drivetrain from a 70s Jeep, which used Turbo 400 automatics until 1979. It has an adapter plate between the engine and transmission, which was used until 1973, and EGR started in 1973, so assuming the whole drivetrain came from the same car, it has to be a 73.

Also, I found this other post that at least gives intake manifold casting numbers. I think mine is actually a 3217486, not 3217488.

[Edit 5/8/22: I looked harder at the pic of the casting number and I think it's actually 3217486.]

The 3217486 is from a 73-74 360 or 401. It is a small port with EGR, 4300 carb with 1.625"/1.75" throttle bores.
