Stated by the judges: A BMW V8 engine installed in a 70's American full-sized sedan will not be penalized for costing more than $500 and other "cheats". Couple that with the Index of Effluency and all around bias IN FAVOR OF AMC products in the LeMons judging crowd, I think someone could have win win win... According to google a 71 Ambo weighs 3700 lbs, not bad for "full sized". Evidence: Edited by tomj - Aug/11/2020 at 2:59pm |

You would be better off putting an AMC V8 into an E36 BMW, probably could even do that on a $500 budget.
Or a small block Mopar 318 in a 318: Lemons racing in Australia isn't really budget racing for us, you need to spend at least $5000 on safety gear for your $500 race car and it is about $2500 to enter the event.

WesternRed you are so right Lemon's is not Budget racing anywhere! By the video presented it is obviously for the entertainment of the organizers.
