AMARK had a cover at one time I believe but they are no longer offered. I would love to have an original looking battery for mine also.

Have not seen one of these batteries. But Odyssey in the US makes a black case red top battery that is a ridiculous price here due to shipping. Do these look anything close? I'm sure the US price would be more respectable!

Won't work...That red topped battery isn't AMC original issue stock. My 1970 battery is white with a red top that has AMC molded into it.... That is the prize....

The 1970 battery is unique to 1970 as far as I know..... I also have a factory 1968-1969 black battery ..AMC issued original... needs a cleanup.. and a rebuild.... It has AM Clear Power molded in the black plastic... I have a red and white sticker from AMark that says Clear Power... Was there a sticker on the battery from the factory or is this a fantasy piece to put on top of an old battery ?....

The black battery is genuine AMC stock but has been sitting empty for a long time.... It is not the sealed type but has fillable cells, different from the 1970.... This one might be a bit easier to restore than the sealed type.... It can be had..... thanks again everyone for taking the time to help out... mike podrasky

You could print the whole case with the AMC logo and the top separate.
I know a few that have cut old cases, cleaned out, and put AGM motorcycle batteries in them wired in parallel. The AGM motorcycle battery can be put in horizontal or vertical. 3 or 4 will fit in an old case.
There is someone using something like these in his Duesenberg for a 6V system.

I have a buddy that did that years ago to an original Mopar battery but he was able to put a smaller regular battery inside the original case. He tapped the bottom of the original posts and had small jumper cables inside to hook them to the new battery posts. You couldn't tell it was retrofitted like that. If I remember right, he machined a small step inside the lip so the lower part of the case would set in it properly and the original battery hold down held it together.
