If you don't look back at it when you park it, you bought the wrong car |

I can put the power window instructions in separate posts, but it might be easier using the link below. It's hosted on my personal domain (like all of the pics on this post), so it should be good until I decide I don't like computers anymore. http://jcaspersen.com/javelin/RetrofittingPowers68-70AMX-Javelin.pdf - http://jcaspersen.com/javelin/RetrofittingPowerWindows68-70AMX-Javelin.pdf Edited by jcaspersen - May/20/2022 at 3:43pm |

This is the Vintage Air Compac II evaporator. 68000-VUZ-A. I put the dash in to check clearance, but there really is a lot. I centered the defrost ducts on the unit (the 2 rearmost ones in the pic) on the center of the tunnel. Using the included brackets, with some modifications, it is pretty easy to mount. I used a factory AC compressor mount with a Sanden adapter I got on eBay. The compressor is a Four Seasons 58580 I got on Amazon. The control is a Vintage Are 491229. I bought a heater delete kit from Rambler Mexicano and cut a slot in it. I got a piece of textured ABS from Amazon. |

This is the gauge mount I made. I put panel mounted LEDs in the center for the Brake and Park lights. The gauges have the turn signal indicators and high beam indicator built in, so I didn't worry about those. |

Very interesting. I'm doing the same to my AMX. I fabbed a similar plate to mount my (modified) Dakota Digital gauges on. They were for a 69 Camaro/Firebird. And the A/C unit mounting position worries me. I mounted the Dakota Digital gauge interface module on the center of the firewall, behind the radio, so it might interfere. Could it be moved any to the right?
