I got this car from my father, who bought it in 1988. He drove it exactly once and spun a bearing. He had (has) a bunch of other cars, so the Javelin sat. In 2015 he gave it to me and I started the tear down. Man oh man is this a long drawn out build.

How I got it.

June of 2019 I got the engine back from the machine shop. Many, many dollars later.

March 2021 it went back in.

Finally we're up to the driver side quarter panel cut off and started for fitment. Waiting on trunk drop-offs that should be here today (5/20/22). Might get a quarter or 2 hung this weekend.

How in depth do you guys and gals want me to get?
  • I modified the door requlators for power windows and added power door locks. I did a writeup on this that I posted to one of the FB groups.
  • EFI - Holley Sniper EFI
  • Custom gauges from Speedut. I used a cnc plasma table to cut out a bracket I drew to line up to the gauge holes.
  • T-5 swap from Scobee
  • Serpentine kit from BullTear
  • Larger Spectra fuel tank with an in-tank electric fuel pump.
  • A/C - Vintage Air Compac Gen II

As in-depth as you’d like - I personally would like to see the Vintage Air install. Not as sexy as the other stuff, but hey, I live in Florida.

Great job so far!

I agree, as much as you are willing to spend time documenting! That is a huge amount of progress so far. And it looks great!
Thanks for sharing!
