After Meziere's shop, it was a short drive to Cruzin Grand. There were six great AMC people there tonight and three cool AMC cars.

Tom--these three cars belong to the Morales Brothers.  They're AMC affecianados, but typically
don't attend other AMC shows throughout the southland, due to very low gear ratios.  As you heard their
engines, I believe they run race gas, making a longer journey financially unfeasible.

Thanks Steve, I didn't recall their names. Nice guys, beautiful cars. they were pretty serious with their 9" rear ends and rowdy cams. I hope to see you are Cruzin Grand again soon my friend. How is "Jane"?

Hey Tom,  appeared to have fixed the oil filter housing leak, so thanks for the offer.
Working on finding the other leaks. Just bought some engine oil dye for help in locating
the other leaks (with a "black lite").  One of the leaks might be a cracked oil dipstick tube....
we'll see shortly.  May come out to CG this Friday, sans Jane.  Hope to see you there.

I am glad you are making progress on Jane. Here's the cover of the new Summit catalog I just received.

Here's the link to the Detroit Muscle video on You Tube.

Summer is over and tonight was the last "Cruzin Grand" 2021 event in Escondido, California. Steve Fox, Randy Kirby and more of the gang was there. Steve brought his red 1970 Javelin "Jane" and Randy brought his Big Bad Green 1970 AMX.

By the way, have you guys seen the "Hemi Gremmie" on Motor Trend "Roadkill"?

Thanks AMC'ers, your interest in AMX/3's has made the "AMXFirehorse" YouTube Channel so popular they are going to run ads now. Wow, these last couple of weeks the AMC community has really made the "AMXFirehorse" YouTube Channel Explode! Here are the stats in case you are curious about how the inside of YouTube works. Tom

I am on vacation for three weeks, today is the half way point, another 10 days to go. I didn't go to the AMO show in TN, stayed home to get the Javelin running again. I put the Bull Tear timing cover on today, but the Romec balance looks like it is not all the way on. I might have to take it off again and clean the crank snout.

Funny side story. I like to use GasGaCinch on the timing cover gasket. Haven't seen this product for years, so I went looking for it. NAPA manager told me they can get order it, but are not allowed to display it on the shelf. Why????? Apparently the image of the lady on the can is too revealing. I told him it was a transgender, so it's OK to put it back on the shelf. We both had a good laugh.

I just got my custom $3,500 computer, what a hot rod! I already got two speeding tickets on the internet. Asus Pro Art/Creator Z790 motherboard, Intel i9, 64 GB DDR5 6000Mhz RAM, Nvidia 4070 GPU,  4TB M.2 drives, four USB-C ports, full size tower with Arctic liquid cooling.

You guys are killin' me. I lived in Poway and Escondido from about ten years of age until just before my 20th birthday. Worked at Escondido Times Advocate. Would love to do the CG sometime. Hopefully sooner or later there will be one that coincides with one of the SoCal AMC shows and I can kill two birds with one stone.

Never knew you had a. '70 Javelin until now, Tom.  Nice to see you guys waving the AMC flag out there!
