Waiting for the rear shocks to come in  Also put the Torker back on and borrowed a buddy's Demon 650 carb. Sent the Holley 650's out to Allstate Carburetor Doctor in Long Island to calibrate.  Going to my first car show in Watertown NY on July 25th. Runs good with the Torker and Demon 650.

Discovered that the rear sway bar links are TOO SHORT and when installed the sway bar is tight against the axle tube. I am assuming that the rear sway bar kit is designed for the AMC 10 axle and the Dana 60 is much larger diameter so it hits.  All I am going to do is get a longer sway bar link set up installed and that should get rid of the noise in the rear.

Yeah, that link is very short, and with a lowered car it does need to be longer. I changed the bottom mount on my rear sway bar to get more clearance, and I didn't like the original design. I replaced the lower mount with a spherical rod-end, and updated the mount to the spring.
Since this picture was taken, I changed out the rear axle to a larger Diameter Moser 9 with discs brakes and it still works with that configuration.

I built it using stuff from the hardware store and the hardware supplied with the Addco rear bar kit. My local store has a small selection of spherical rod-ends.
I found a rod-end with the correct thread that fit to the supplied hardware with the rear anti-sway bar.
I then used scrap metal around the shop to fabricate the plate that connects the spring to the rod-end.

You are a genius and quite resourceful.  I am going to cobble something up for this weekend then figure something like you did as a more permanent fix.

THANK YOU. YOU CERTAINLY ARE SHARP!!!

Thanks Rich. How's your AMX coming?  Went to my first car show on Sunday.  Car was well received and a lot of people said it was the coolest car there!! The only AMC by the way. Did not win any prizes. The daily " best in show" was a 67 Chevelle, clean but REALLY? At least a lot of people really like it because it's a rare sight but as you know this AMX is far from a stocker. Met a few guys who I will continue to communicate with and learned of a few local " cruise nights" in the area so I'll be hitting them as well.

MAYBE IF I HAD THE CROSS RAM ON IT WOULD BE A DIFFERENT STORY?  I few guys were sharp enough to notice the capped AN line under the hood for the second carb and the twin fuel pumps in the trunk.

Hope to get the carbs back from Allstate Carburetor Doctor soon and put the cross ram on for the next show.
