I need my horns for my AMX rebuilt. Imagine that there are no parts for these anymore and cannot find anyone that can rebuild these Spartan horns at all. Has anyone found a perfect replacement that can be utilized? Sad because I saved a number of these as cores over the years.

I have in my notes Gary Steinkellner Horn Works www.carhornrestoration.com rebuilds those horns also, I believe OER sells reproduction horns that might fit #MH109.

Unfortunately, Gary can no longer rebuild these since no parts exist. Yes the MH109 look great but would have to make the bracket straight.

I would try to find some used working ones. Put a Wanted ad here and see. |

My horns didn't work properly I took them apart and cleaned some corrosion they work fine now. The brackets on the OER horns can be changed.

Hudson,
I wonder, since you have several cores, if you could send them to Gary and have him check them to see if he can get any of them working? Maybe he can take 4 horns and get a good pair? He rebuilt mine a couple of years ago. Mike |

1970 AMX, one step forward, one step back. Both steps cost time and money.

Gary did mine roughly 8 months ago. I sent a few other for parts but he didn't need them. I got lucky. He did a great job. And yes, he mentioned parts is an issue.
