Thanks for posting your video, my 68 AMX was a drag car and soon I want to install factory carpet again and really appreciate videos like yours, knowing it was hard to install and then that this brand not only came up short but has raggedy edges around the rear wheel wells for sure makes me want to look to different sources.
On the upside it does look great in your car overall, I doubt hardly anyone looking would ever notice the rear details we are talking about, nice job on the install!

I replaced the original tan carpet in my 68 AMX with ACC carpet kit. Did have to fiddle with it a bit, but it came out nice and tight. The bottom of the wheel well where it meets the floor take's some tweaking to get it to fit right. Did not have any ragged carpet edges. I carpeted more than five classic cars and all the various carpet kits take some playing with. Did not like the "baby poop" tan color of the original carpet and installed black acc carpet.Replaced the factory tan seats because I'm 6'4" and did not like looking at the visor with my head touching the roof. Installed black Procar Evolution suspension seats to match the carpet. Sit 3" lower and much more comfy.

I put an ACC carpet in my Javelin. It only required some minor trimming to get it to fit. What i have read is the AMX back half can be a bear. One thing to do is get the carpet warm before you install. If will lay down much better. It will look much better after the car has sat in the sun for a while, giving the carpet an opportunity to relax.

I used heat, fit was made to my perfection, but it was ACC carpet anyway they offered to repair the piece, I used some backing glue so I didn’t want to remove it again. They gave a $50 refund. Better than nothing.

Thanks! I have seats out of a Saturn SC1 in my AMX. Looks like your seats are about the same height in the seat area and MUCH better back support. Also like your mounting of the gauge pods on the console. dave
