NOTE 14 sep: I'm gonna list this on eBay in a day or two. I'd prefer a Forum member bought it, so serious offers considered. PM me.

For sale is my '68 American Sports Sedan (base model). 199ci six, column three-speed, manual brakes and steering. Aftermarket A/C R134a. Near-perfect mechanical condition. The original owner drove it until 2017, I bought it in 2019, brought it up to "5 year old car" condition. Extraordinary documentation: all original dealer materials. Personal relationship with original owner and his mechanic. Car received extraordinary and continuous care since new. Receipts back to 2/68.

215,000 miles. Engine tests like-new: 6% leakdown, 130-135 psi all cyls. New timing set, valve stem seals. Silent idle, no blowby. Oil changed every 1000 - 2000 miles since new. Oil yellow after 2000 mile trips (2021). Clean, neat, upgrades. T96H transmission replaced with T14 in 2019 (have T96H). Rebuilt suspension, new steering gear, new brakes, axle bearings and hub, five new tires. No windshield or heater leaks. Glass is perfect, windshield replaced with tinted May 1968, have original in blanket.

Interior good original but worn. Dashpad has warp, no cracks. All gauges work speedo rebuilt at great expense. Seats redone, fair quality. Door panels intact, paint wear. Plastic headliner from Galvin's. New door seals and fuzzies.

Body solid, but many "parking lot" dings and nicks. Paint thin. Some bondo, hood and trunk lids misaligned (work fine). Seriously needs cosmetic upgrade but very well kept for 53 years. Front floors and trunk rust-through (rubber mat car), rust cut out, welded steel. Solid, no leaks.

In Los Angeles. $7500, but it's on eBay now.

Nice plug on Jalopnik from Torch about this Tom! He's my favorite writer on there. Smile Good luck on the sale.
