The shop had the car about 4 months, longer than they thought it would take but they did what it took to make the car good again. The doors were ok except for door dings along the center, before the repair was filler. This shop took the time to fix most of the damage . The inside of the doors had a coating sprayed on the inside, the door shin lips were all good. They took all the seam sealer out of the body to make sure no rust.

The rear quarter extensions had never been off the car, they still had the sealer behind them. I took them off before going to the shop. The shop wanted all the extensions to fit good. Pics. shows what they did. They did remove them before paint and painted them off the car.

Looking good,
I separated the hood & decklid skins from the frames on my Javelin. It was incredible the amount of thick rust on the underside of the external Sheetmetal. Glad I did, now I don't need to worry if the underside rust would pop out after the car is refinished. |

The shop is very good and they will fix just about anything. I have a friend that buys insurance cars from the U.S. and he has them delivered to them. Pics. of the right front fender damage they had sent me they were going to repair. I explained to them the rocker molding wouldn't fit if they fixed it and it didn't show much as at the bottom. They allowed they would fix the molding as well. The shop picked up the moldings the next day and brought them back repaired polished and painted.

I got a window kit from Greyhounds-AMX as the windows needed work. I took the drivers side apart for cleaning and repair. Pics. show inside the door, still needs some cleaning , but no rust issues. I realize some cars have rust issues in the doors but this car the doors are good. That is what surprised me about the hood and trunk lid as this car has seem solid.

This shows the door frame with the skin taken off. Same kind of rust in the crimp area of the door skin. Doors looked perfect no rust. Would show up at some time. Just my opinion but I have seen several cars that have the seems filled where the extensions are put on the car, after several years they look like crap.
