My 1968 AMX that I have had for several years needed a re-fresh, paint had cracks in a few places. So after finding a shop that specialized in buying and repairing American cars I decided to have them do the body and paint on this car. The car is located in Europe, Lithuania. Pics. of when the shop came to pick up the car.

The shop striped the paint and removed all the body filler . They wanted to repair previous damage. The rear quarter extensions had never been off  and showed rust as no paint, they sandblasted the rust and places and where not easy to remove paint. The shop took the Pics. and sent messages of what they wanted to do.

The shop sent a message that they were going to separate the hood and trunk lid from their frames as they expected rust as there is no paint. I didn't expect  to see what they looked like as the car didn't have rust issues and all body panels are original.

The right front fender had damage and a lot of filler from before I got it. This shop removed the filler and repaired most of the damage.

The hood back together and fenders back on the car. The hood was taken back off after fitting for paint.
