Surprised to discover a concept car called the Budd XR-400.
X-R means "Experimental Rambler". It is built on a shortened 2-dr Ambassador chassis, and has a AMC 327. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yep. Budd did quite a bit of advertising in Popular Science and car magazines back in the day. It's a pretty neat prototype, that hides it's fairly humble roots well!
