Hi, my 65 American has a front left body panel with two rows of trim holes.. these holes appear to align within 1964 and 1965 trim locations..can anyone shed light onto how this works ..?

Google some pictures of a 65 American 440 and you will see that there is a belt line molding with an arrow shaped tip at the head of the molding.   Below that, the 440 had two short straight moldings stacked near the head of the above molding.   Joe

Joe,  my panel holes extends the full length of the panel, same diameter holes, almost alas if it was made for both.  Except I need to treat those holes I don’t want to use….

It's possible someone swapped a '64 fender onto your '65. I helped my brother do that to his '65 when he was 18 and I was 15....only fender we could find to replace a damaged one was off of a '64. We filled a bunch of holes and drilled new ones.
