I have a question for the Eagle owners in the crowd.  The standard tire was P195.75R15.   Without any modifications, how big a tire can fit on an Eagle without rubbing?

With no lift and running the stock 15x6 wheels (like you said, no modifications), you could safely stuff 205-75-15 or 215-70-15 under there.  Since 195-75-15 is pretty much extinct now, these are the closest sizes to stock.

I suspect you could go 215-75-15 as well, but if you step up into the 225 range you'll probably start getting some rubbage.

215/65R15 was the optional size.

I've got 215/75/15's but had to trim a little from the front flare but my springs were really worn. With the new front springs on there would be no need to trim.

I'm putting 235/65R15's Cooper Cobra GT's on the Eagle.  No rubbing.
