In a trade I ended up with a brand new in the box Edelbrock Torker 2935 intake. On the label it says, 2935 AMC-69 360-401. I didn't think anything about it until I got it home and all the bolt holes are in line. Okay it's not for a 360-401 it's for a 290-390. So out of curiosity I look to see what the correct part number for a 360-401 intakes is and I see it's a 2930. When I look at the label and instructions Edelbrock provides it shows it fits a 343-401. How can Edelbrock make the intakes and not know what they even fit. This intake was made 10-01-2001, so you would have though that far back when they were a good company they would have had it together. Guess not!!! LOL

Haha, I think that's the same intake I almost bought earlier this week. Was for sale outside Indy on the book face. I ended up buying one locally that popped up right as I was about send money for this one.
Rather interesting on the labeling problem. I wonder if someone within the company mininterpreted "same" for all part numbers. I imagine the same casting was used for all engine models, but needs a different machining operation to differentiate the part numbers. Possible that a person in the marketing/shipping/customer relations department was fed bad info or read it incorrectly before selling to the vendors and there was a bad group of labels. Just a theory. Phill

I guess they're not making them anymore, so it is a nice score either way if the price was right. I had a hard time finding an early R4B for my 343 and it wasn't cheap, 70+ is a lot more common it seems.

Is that the twisted carb Torker?
I bought one for a 360. But didn't verify that it wasn't for the older 290 deck height engines. Mine was the Twisted Carb style, an earlier style. I hope I didn't buy the wrong one.

All AMC Torker's are twisted, not all Edelbrock Torker's are twisted.
Early 290, 343, and 390 have all the bolt holes in a perfect line down each side. Later 304, 360, and 401 have the center two bolt holes on each side moved up towards the valve cover. Tom
