Setting up the brake booster on the 63 Ambassador wagon. 

Should there be a gasket between the booster and the master cylinder? Wasn’t one when I disassembled. 

And what is the nominal clearance for booster push rod and mc piston.  Old clearance was way off which was likely a big contributor to granny brakes. 
Seems general info is for about .020”.

I've never seen a gasket on a Bendix booster in any application.  I do not have a '63 parts book but there is no MC gasket listed for the later models.  As to the pushrod clearance, unless you have some specific dimension, it seems that 0.020" is appropriate.
