My first time pulling the hubs off my 2 piece axles I bent a couple of wheel studs. They appear to be the originals.
Since I'm replacing some studs, is there any advantage of installing longer studs and changing them all? I'm planning on running the factory drums and aluminum wheels. Thanks, Mike |

1970 AMX, one step forward, one step back. Both steps cost time and money.

Shouldnt need unless the wheel / lugnuts don't engage far enough. Should be same depth engaged as stud diameter so 1/2 inch.

Just watch out that the shoulder on the stud does not protrude to far past the brake drum, you can damage the threads on your wheel nuts. Don't ask how I know, had to replace all the studs after the damaged nuts damaged the studs when I took the wheel off again.
