So just like the title says, are the strut rods and brackets from my 70' Javelin the same for a 69'? I have the set from my 70' for sale and would like to confirm for him.
Thanks for any insight...Ty

No, they aren't. The big difference is the mounting holes on the ends to the lower arm are in different locations for the different lower ball joint. Secondly the pre 70 strut rods have no front adjustment nut, as the bushing washer rides against the strut rod shoulder to the threaded end.

They do have different bolt spacing though don’t they? At the ball joint location.

There was a discussion about strut rod mods back when UnclJohn was alive. There was a picture of a pre 70 strut rod, which had been explained, with no adjustment nut up front, an oversized rounded shoulder at the start of the threaded end. Just going with what was discussed in comparison long ago. If there is no oversized rounded shoulder, then something else was shown in the thread, that nobody questioned at the time.

I just checked my 68 AMX, 68 Javelin (2) 69 AMX's, and my wife's 70 Javelin and they all use 2 adjusting nuts on each strut rod. One in front of the bracket and bushing and one behind the bracket and bushing. There are no shoulders on any of the strut rods on any of my cars.
