I have a 1950 Chevrolet 3600 that the previous owner used a front suspension from a 1976 AMC Pacer.

It has drum brakes. I would like to switch it over to discs. What parts am I looking for to put disc brake spindles/calipers/rotors to get the truck from drums to discs.

I am going with a power brakes (booster/master cylinder setup) from a newer model S-10.

I understand this not a Chevy forum but I have never owned an AMC (other than some older Jeeps).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board!

A lot of the Pacer suspension parts were unique to the Pacer, even different from other AMC's.

I believe they used the same 4 bolt spindles as all other AMC's, but since I've never owned a Pacer, I'll let one of the guys who have verify that.

If they are the same you can swap spindles and have some decent options from Scarebird setups which use modern brake parts, to piecing together original AMC setups like the early 70's Kelsey Hayes, or later Bendix stuff. Wilwood makes brakes for AMC's as well

Are you running 5 on 4.5" pattern (AMC/Dodge/Ford) wheels,
or are the AMC drums redrilled for Chevy 5 on 4.75"'s?

The front is 5 on 4 1/2.

When I bought the truck, I was under the impression it was Mustang II set up. I jumped the gun because the power steering pump is a Ford style unit.

Then a guy who had a 52 Chevy with a Pacer front end way back when identified it as an AMC Pacer section.

I was hoping that there is a disc brake spindle that I can get it converted without having to cut out everything and start over.
