If you have 10 posts or more as a member (same as required to post in the "For Sale" section) you can upload your photos directly to the forum. This should be helpful for those who are only posting photos at the forum and not sharing them on other web sites or who do not have a photobucket or other photo hosting account.
200kb limit per file, 15 meg total limit for all of your files. You have your own personal file manager ability under your profile to upload, delete, preview and otherwise manage your files.
As a courtesy to others, Please crop and resize photos for best fit in the forum - keep things neat and simple. Instructions and info on FREE software to help you do this is in the link above.
This ability is in part due to the support of those who donate to the forum and help defray expenses.

TIP!
In order to perform backups and archive info - esp photos or attachments/documents, etc. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING! I cannot create backups and burn them to CD or DVD RW IF the file names have illegal characters. To ensure that ALL files, including photos can be backed up, please do not use: SPACES or Characters OTHER than a-z, 0-9, _, - Use of characters such as : or ; or / or > and so on can prevent these files from being backed up. So please make sure your photo or picture files are named only with numbers, letters, dash or underscore. Using other characters can also lead to issues with uploads or the image even appearing in your post. Thank you - I'm only trying to look out for your images and handi-work, and ensure this is here for your children to enjoy when you can't see a computer screen any more and rely on screen-reading software to visit the forums. (Blame windows and Microsoft) |
