Since it is so torky, a bag of cement in the back won't hurt in drifting.

From my years with a 73 Javelin, i can imagine your go cart is a bit wild to handle on cornering under power. Mind you my 73 had a 304 and open carrier. Found not enough traction even with E60 tires, making power turns. Rear would love to chase the nose. Plus, even with staggered shocks, wheel hop was bad on good pavement.

I guess them years i had, made it easy for me to get accustom to snow in the mid west.

Thanks for opening my eyes to an engine that I never got to understand by lack of support and it's under rated potential.

I think the custom modding part is more fascinating than the engine. It's truly a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Ever since I installed the dual point breaker plate set up, I've wondered how a super coil might enhance the spark since it runs 35 degrees dwell time vs the single point 29.

I was having no trouble whatsoever with the stock (Autozone Duralast) coil when I found this coil for sale on eBay, and it appears to match my color scheme, so I had to try it.

It's a Crane branded Accel Super Coil. Here's a few pics:

Finally able to acquire a batch of Rambler V8 adjustable rocker arms so I'm installing a polished/weight matched set on 443 XRV8 engine.

Unusual to see actual NOS Rambler V8 adjustable rocker arms so here's some pics:

NOS compared to polished XRV8 RP part:

Never mind the plastic engine cover... here's how a 443 CID '64 Rambler V8 looks installed into a '73 Gremlin X engine bay:

What are your thoughts about installing an oil filled coil in any other position other then upright? Over the years I have been told that if there are any air bubbles trapped in the housing they will expose some of the coil winding and lead to premature failure. I have no factual evidence to back that up. I was just wondering what your experience on that issue might be.
