oof!  Grainger or a good hardware store with a drawer full of "porch door springs" will probably be your best bet.

The springs are in the wiper arms. Loads the wiper blade against the glass. Springs are rusty but still flexible.  Thought I would replace them if available while everything is apart.

Bill,

Get yourself some EvapOrust from your local hardware store. Put your wiper arms in a shallow pan and cover them completely with the EvapOrust solution. Let them soak for a day or two and the rust on the springs will be gone. It flushes right off with warm soapy water and a stiff brush and once you dry out the springs you can give them a light coat of paint with a model brush.

I recommend that you pop the springs off and dip only the springs. Evapo-rust likes to eat away "pot" metal. One or two days in that solution could cause damage to the pot-metal ends of the arms..

My wipers have the same issue. I was going to go to Tacoma screw here locally and compare my springs to the ones they have. They have quite a selection on a wall where you can compare tension and size. I will post a part number when I get a chance to swing by.

I was going to remove the springs first. I've got a good local hardware store to try. Need to count coils,  measure wire diameter,  and overall diameter to match the rate.
