There are 74, 76, and 82 TSMs and parts manuals at http://oljeep.com/edge_parts_man.html. The window sections should be the same on all, the 82 will show power and manual windows. One of the older manuals might be clearer though.

Thanks Farna! I actually haven't been able to take a swing at the job yet, as the Jeep decieded not to run. This weekend I was going to jump start her and then tackle the windows if the weather holds...this TSM link should be really helpful.
I'll report back to this thread once I've been able to take a look.

I'm restarting my 74 J-10 rebuild. I've got an 82 TSM handy, there are a few differences but not that many from 63-88 (came with my 83 J-10, which came from up north and is now parts for the 74). 1987 was the last year J-trucks were actually made, but a good many (don't know how many!) were officially titled and sold as 88 models. Production probably stopped around the end of 1987, and 1988 production typically started in late August/sometime in September (for all AMC products). So just 2-3 months of 1988 production. As you know the J-trucks and Waggies are pretty much the same from the front doors forward.
I'm going to get rid of the old dash pad and plug the screw holes, just leave it bare metal. If interested in production numbers (and more info on the big Jeeps) see http://www.ifsja.org/tech/figures/fsjprod.html. Might want to join that forum too. Edited by farna - Jan/13/2012 at 9:01am |

Thanks Farna-
I'm a member there already too...it is indeed a great source of info for the Waggy and the other FSJs, but I'm glad I posted the request over here for the TSM too, becasue between the two forums you were the first to answer!
Thanks again...looked at my schedule again and not sure if I'll be able to get to the Jeep or not this weekend, but now I have the info you kindly provided so when I do it should be much easier.
