Drained the auto transmission on my 59 american, now I`m having trouble finding a place to buy a new trans. filter.Does anyone know if this filter was used in any other transmission or newer model AMC product? I went to two local auto parts stores and they list the pan gasket but not the filter.I hope you guys don`t mind all my recent questions but this is the first Rambler I have ever owned. Thanks again for any help you can give.

Best thing to do is to buy a TSM.    and if the screen is not damaged, you could clean it and reuse it.

The Borg Warner model 35 transmission gasket kit from napaonline comes with the filter.  I just put the kit in my 65 Rambler.  Joe

All you have to do is stop by your local AMC dealer and pick one up.
