Remove the plastic plug from the valve to let the valve move both ways when you bleed the system. make sure you get all the little pieces from the valve. assemble back together in reverse order. That is what the TSM says when you bleed the brake system.....Jim

I took the valve off the car, disassembled, cleaned an reassembled. I know I was supposed to put new copper washers and O-rings but they were in such good shape I didn't feel it was necessary.

Thanks for the heads up 401jim. I rebuilt my master cylinder today and I'm hoping to get it bolted back on to the booster and bled in the next few days. I'll follow your instructions and removed the plastic plug to bleed.
