4 bbl and 2 bbl manifolds interchange with no issues as to bolting up.  327 engines obviously came with both intakes----exact same for 250-287-327.
There are different mounting points on the intake that the transmission linkage hooks up to.  Check your TSM.

That carburetor is a Holley 2209. Check your serial number of the car against the 13 digit VIN decoder in the front section of the AMC parts book  and it will reveal the original engine, carb., trans. combination.  You would pay attention to the seventh digit in the VIN.    I had mine rebuilt by Holley and am very pleased with it's performance.  It runs great, and it always did since new. I followed the set up instruction in the TSM for the Holley 2209.   Call Holley if you are interested, and get a price quote.  I got mine rebuilt and totally restored/replated.  I figured that if they made it, they would be the best to rebuild it. They used ethanol resistant materials, and mine has a 3 year warranty.

That is a factory carburetor. It's a Holley 2209. Not a very common carburetor.

They were used on the optional 2bbl low compression 327's for late 1965 and 1966 only.

Our (my and SEdmonds's) 1965 Ambassador was a low compression 2bbl 327 with this carburetor from the factory. We converted it to a high compression 4bbl version.

I'm not a fan of the 2209. I could never get the choke to work properly and the throttle response was always poor on mine. Just drove horribly. The 4bbl swap remedied all that and opened up some more power.

Even swapping to a different 2bbl would likely make it drive better. It won't open up the power a 4bbl would, but it'll run better. A Holley 2300 or Motorcraft 2100 will bolt up without too much trouble.
