As Mrs. Edmonds said, they are quite rare. Mitch, your best bet is a wanted ad. A fabricated one could work, but it would be a lot to ask for. As for aftermarket, there are none that I'm aware of. Good luck and I hope you find a good one for cheap.

If I can find one in Australia then you shouldn't have a problem. PS Thanks Jeff!

There is potential for a small profit to be made making adapter plates
to use later Gen3 aluminum manifilds on Gen 1 motors.

Thanks for the responses guys!

I think I'm going to try and piece together everything needed to run a 4BBL for next season, right now I want to get the 2BBL rebuilt and running, worst come to worst I should be able to sell that for more than the $90 I'll have into it.

What is the largest flowing carb I should look into for the stock fuel pump?  I see anything from 650-800, but I feel like anything over 700-750 might be choking out that pump a bit.

A carburetor's CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating has nothing to do with a fuel pump's GPH (gallons per hour) rating. The two ratings are "apples & oranges". I believe it's been mentioned several times on this forum that with a Gen I 327cid a carb with a rating of 600cfm is way more than it needs.

Okay, that's definitely good to know then!   Thanks!

Any input into what was the original 4 BBL carbs offered on these cars?  Or were there many available?

Original 4-barrels [except 1957] on the Gen I V8's were Holley ['57 used the Carter WCFB, which was in many ways light-years behind the Carter AFB that followed].  Most were around 450-465 CFM.

These Holley carbs come up quite often these days on eBay.
Buzzman72...void where prohibited, your mileage may vary, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

Do you know what model numbers they came with?

I really wish my manual would get here... it would make for less obvious questions lol

Best use for a WCFB is to encase it in Acrylic and put on a coffee table.

Anyone in NH that has a 327 to part with I am interested.
I don't care if it has a hole in the block.
I am looking for a motor with reasonably good heads
to reverse engineer the intake flanges and dummy up
adapters to a late Gen 3 intake.
