I think it would have changed in the 3 years based off of what I'm looking at.  I did order a rebuild kit for it.  I'm trying to figure out if the original was 4 bbl, going to look under the passenger seat for a build sheet, it's a long shot, but why not haha

It's a Holley, excuse my terrible pics lol

Every time I'm near the car I'm busy working on it, so I don't have many pics yet.

Take the carb off or measure the distance between studs. Apparently jeeps of that vintage used the 2209 and I am pretty sure a 2300 or a motorcraft 2100 will fit. The earlier ''63-'64 engines used a 2300 style carb, I have a few of them on the shelf.

Going back to the original post, I would just say forget about that carb and buy another one. I just got one from Holley that is the exact same setup that came stock on my 327. The one I got was a 4150 4 barrel w/ electric choke and vacuum secondaries @ $300. It may be a lot compared to rebuilding, but it is SO much easier.

Is Carter a Holley brand or Holley branded?

Carter made carburators but they are out of business, AMC used alot of Carters, as did Ford and Chrysler. Holley was used by all of the car companies at one time or another. Holley made their own OEM carburators as did Carter.   GM used Carter many years ago, but later cars used mostly Rochester, which is a GM brand.

Mine definitely says Holley on it, that's why I ask.  Definitely good to know though!

Do I need a new intake manifold to run a 4 barrel?  That 4150 is definitely beautiful and something I could do down the line..

Yes, you should need a new intake manifold. The Holley 4150 is a four barrel carb.

Hmm any hints on what to search for then?  I suppose that's going to be quite the difficult search to find a 4 barrel intake manifold for a 327.

The 4 bbl manifolds are getting scarcer and scarcer but Rambler people have held onto them. Put out the "Wanted" call and you will probably get several responses. You'll need a new air cleaner cover, too. They are heavy to ship.
