So what are you using. Just planning on changing my oil this week on my 1000 miles 401. Don't remember what I put in last time but its been a couple of years. |

Mobil 1 15/50 here. Has higher zinc than other Mobil 1 options.
Are you running a roller or flat tappet?

I believe it's Amber Autumn or maybe Amber Wave. Color charts are just so confusing and the naming colors takes a degree of some sort??? The wife will know:)

All I know is that mine is 50 years old. Nothing fell off yet. Pulled the valve covers and spotless inside. I'm sure the original owner that I'll refer to as "pops" didn't search for a magical oil that's going to turn back the clock. I use Mystik from farm/ fleet. |

Rotella 15/40. With a half bottle STP for ptfe. Ran this with a solid 590 lift cam, with 300 lbs open springs, over 20k miles. Going to reuse cam maybe when i freshen up! Diesel oil for non rollers!
