Does anyone have an updated part number for the 195.6 OHV valve seals? Or seals that can be used in their place? Thanks guys, Wally.

i dont. if you have having head work, the common fix is to have the top of the guides cut for "chevy" type seals. there's a specific tool for this, so its common and inexpensive. if you're just popping on new seals at home, that's different, can't help you there.

Do you have more info on that tool? Do you know if it's available as a hand tool or machine only? Thanks

Look at these

https://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/comp-cams/product-line/comp-cams-valve-guide-cutting-tools
https://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/comp-cams/product-line/comp-cams-valve-seals?SortBy=Default&SortOrder=Default

Not what you want but what is used in SOME applications.

i would doubt its a hand tool. that would be something you;d want precision and repeatability for.

This site might make what you're doing more apparent:
http://www.silver-seal.com/category/shop.engine_parts.valvestemseals.4vsstools/

You buy the correct diameter cutter body (which has the carbide cutter tips), then buy the  cutter guide sized for your valve guide (valve stem size). I don't see why you couldn't work with a good 1/2" drill and do this at home. I just read a bit more of the description -- it says specifically to chuck it in a portable drill or drill press. I don't know how to determine what size cutter body you need though. All say "A must for all press-on valve stem seals!"  So is the 0.xxx measurement height it cuts to or diameter? If diameter, how can it be "for all press-on valve stem seals"??? I'm sure you could ask the company.

Check out the variety of seals they have! Even umbrella seals! If you know the dimensions you need they probably have whatever seal you can think of.
