the 2 hard lines i suspect are for the missing charcoal canister.
the other 2 vacuum lines, i don't know where they go?
were these foe the smog pump and emissions stuff?
do they need to be plugged?
or do they help to operate the ac vents?
thx for the help!

Top pic is fuel supply and return line to/from tank. Yea disconnect them at the tank ans seal the tank side connections.
Lower pic is vacuum supply for HVAC mode panel in cab.

In the top pic, what the heck is that rubber hose with the splice and two hose clamps?? That is so wrong and that hose is going to fail. Hope it carries no pressure, ever, or whatever is in that hose is coming out.

thanks for the reply. where are those vacuum lines supposed to be connected to? straight manifold vac?
T'd into a vacuum canister along the firewall?

and good eye on the spliced hose! it's on my list to fix. there's a lot not right on this car that needs to be sorted.

Of the two hard lines on the shock tower, the larger one is the fuel return line from the original fuel filter and the smaller line is the vapor vent from the gas tank to the charcoal canister. They should both be plugged if they are not hooked to their respective proper equipment.

Beware that if the vent line to the tank is plugged the tank will have no venting anymore. so what will happen is the car will make it a few miles away from the gas station then stall and not start. That is what happened with my Concord. Solution was just sit the gas cap on the filler and not tighten it in any way.
