Thanks again for the info. My cross member looks a lot like the lower one you posted only both mount towers have slotted holes that extend up and beyond the most upper edge. Also both lower control arm bolt eccentric cam guides are located with-in the lower mount tower as is the case on the left side v8 member in your picture. At this point I'm not sure what to do to ID this thing, I'd love to post some pictures here on the forum but it's gonna take a while to get up to 30 posts.

Try imgbb.com

You don't need to make an account, just upload, and it will bring up a window to select your saved image from your computer or device. Once It uploads, select full bb code, and copy. Once copied reply here with a paste of your copied bb code that the site generated. It is the fasted and easiest site available that I have found.

This is what I get when I open the insert image tab:

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

Thanks for posting 6PakBee...

This is the front suspension/engine cross member I'm trying to id. Shows all 4 sides. Saw a similar one on ebay that was ided as a 68-74 AMX Javelin V8 ?? I thought I got this of my SC/360 Hornet back in the day but don't really remember it's been so many years. Could it be for the Hornet or was it sold to me and misrepresented and really for a different model or year? Would love to get someone's input, thanks in advance.

how about measuring from mounting hole to hole for the frame?
small bodies (americans/gremlins/hornets/ concords/ and probably spirits)are pretty much the same function-wise

"The center to center dimension of the mounting holes to the frame is
31.25” on the small cars  and  33.00” on the big cars."

Hornet would be a small car and Javelin a large car I suppose...
Above is from a barely readable small version of a picture with captions
from the now defunct other AMC Forum but the image still comes up
in google image search but the actual thread can not be accessed.
I also got the pics you sent just had yet to take time to reply...

Thanks, Yes I checked mine and it is 33" from center bolt hole to center bolt hole, chassis mounting holes. So that would be big cars huh. What would be the list of " big cars "? Javelin is a big car? What about AMX, Ambassador etc. ? Thanks again.
