This is going to fit together with American crossmember... And if it won´t, it is no big issue, because I´m fabricating this for my 65 American Pro Street with blown 360... I think there is going to be a modified crossmember anyway. Wrooooooommmm...

So, one has to ask, why? Is the weight savings that much over a steel pan? Why not an aluminum front cross member, or chromoly?

Well, the aluminum pan should cool the oil just a bit, as aluminum has much better heat conductivity than steel. There's also enough aluminum in a casting to "sink" the heat away as well.

Cooling fins would make a great addition.
