Anyone have some used, worthless 401 main bearings lying around.  .020/.030 under.  I just need them store freshly turned cranks back into a few blocks until I get a chance to build them.  I had a "helper" working with me and they tossed the old used stuff away.

I donno... paper towel rolls may work you may have to double them up, as long as you don't torque them down.

I'd rather used bearing that I can soak in oil and snug down

I have a couple of blocks/cranks stored that way.  I used high density foam soaked in oil.

Oil them and put a couple layers of duct tape around. Shipped one that way.
