I'm restoring a 71 Javelin and found a disconnected electronic component under the dash but I don't know what it is and if it needs to be connected. Below is a picture of it. Can anybody tell me what it is, if it needs to be wired into the system, and how to wire it?

For some reason the picture I pasted doesn't show up after I posted it even though I could see it in the editor window. So I'll try posting it again below.

Dude, you need 30 Posts plus to upload Pics to the forum.

But you can upload them to any Image Hoster, and insert a link. (Click on the Globe with the chain Symbol in the Tow row)

Under the dash? Only two items come to mind... Low fuel warning, which will need installed or can be left off, if you remove the opaque washer from the fuel gauge terminal. The module is a flat rectangular metal box with rounded corners.

The other is headlight delay system. It two can be installed or removed... just have to make sure the harness going in goes to the headlight switch. It is a plastic milky white box.

Thanks for the help with uploading the pic. I uploaded the pic to this link: https://postimg.org/image/uviro0f9r/

It is under the dash near on the far left of the driver's side.

It does not look like the low fuel system out of my 70, so my guess is that it is headlight delay.

That's the warning buzzer! Bad I guess.

Sorry I thought about the two options being the issue. The buzzer is on all 70 up cars. As it does warn about ignition key, headlights on, and later in 73 seat belt warning.

I can sell you my 71 buzzer in great condition, if you want a replacement.

I won't be using it, as I modified a bit of my wiring to go with the customization to my car.
