Anyone know of a source for the trim? I know APD has it but looking for an off the shelf solution since it is generic door edge molding basically

Remembering my friends 66 Chevelle, it had the same pipping. Just need to look at Bow Tie sources.

The reproduction for GM A body cars is round, while door edge trim is U shaped. Plus originals were clear plastic laminate over the chrome, similar to how BMW window edge trim was done back in the 80s.

I guess you can get chrome style plastic door edge molding and cloud it up with an opaque clear coat spray. It's a cheap alternative until you find the right stuff.

If you want very generic, most auto parts stores have a roll if chrome door edge guard that is basically the same thing.

I have some walmart trim but its smaller than the original pieces. Gotta be available somewhere...guess I will have to carry around a piece to match
