Have a bunch of parts and a car, looking towards pro street but it will probably see the track. What I have.....
64 American
built 904 trans
4500 stall converter
6.71:1 Hampton blower
(401 possibly being built?)
29x15x15 Mickeys
fuel cell
Want this thing to go straight and be safe....ladder bar rear ? Were do I start cutting? What do I reinforce before cutting?
Questions, coments, and ass kicking welcomed ! Edited by xracer390 - Dec/13/2009 at 7:04pm |

Oops, ok, see now plans include a Blower and a 401.
Does that take rear suspension needs to the next level ? Edited by PHAT69AMX - Nov/30/2009 at 3:30pm |

I've got a blueprint type worksheet that I can send you if you do decide to tub the car. I also have the blueprint you need to pro-link the car too. Or if your still looking for help in the bodyshop I can do it for ya.

What size tire are you planning on running? Do you have a frame bench to work with? I'd cut only what you need to cut out to fit the tires under it, and then figure your desired ride height. I tubbed a foxbody mousetang droptop in school and had to do it on the floor and that was a HUGE pain in the neck. It can be done but you have to double and triple check the ride height of the car when your measuring for the mid-cross member the new frame rails back and the rear cross member, as well as where you plan on mounting the cross member to mount the coilovers to. Sounds like a fun project! |
