I've got replacement trunnions ready to go on my Javelin, but wondering if the old ones are salvageable.
The knuckle pin bushing and bearing are toast which was letting the trunnion flop around pretty bad. In this picture I pushed in a snug fitting socket for visual reference. To the left you can see where it is out of round by about 15 thousands by my rough caliper measurement. Are these still good cores? If I didn't have my other good set, I'd probably be putting in a new bushing and running with them. Edited by PlazinJavelin - Mar/24/2015 at 9:29pm |
