NAPA stores carry Balkamp trim and panel fasteners. I'm finding that many of them are matches for the trim on my '69 AMX and '72 Javelin.  Most probably work in many other models too, but I'm just passing along the ones I know.

Part # 665-2829.  This works for the stainless trim at the top of the door (below the glass) on my '69.  It's not an exact match, but it works, though I find it best to compress the spring with pliers a few times before insertion and use some sort of lubricant on the spring where it pushes into the door, otherwise you might dent your trim trying to pound it in (ask me how I know).  I used the lubricating gel that electricians use to run wire down conduit.

665-2222 - This is an exact match for the clips used on the interior "A" pillar pads on 68/69 Javelin and AMX.

665-4141 - This odd looking clip is used for the chrome trim on the front of the hood of Javelin and AMX.  The NAPA/Balkamp part seems to be an exact match. On my repop trim I had to trim the long wire off the end in order to get it to slide into the slot at the end, since the repop trim does not have the center cut out that would normally be used to insert these clips into the track.  The wire helps hold the clip in place, so only cut off as much as you need to to get the clip into the end slot.

665-1943 - This is for the stainless steel trim around the windshield and back glass. Seems that Ford used this particular clip too so they are easy to find. Harbor Freight sells a kit of plastic trim tools for less than $10 that includes a Y shaped tool I found very useful for installing these clips.  $5.49 for a bag of 12 at my local NAPA.  EDIT:  Balkamp #665-2286 looks very close too.  Not sure at this writing which of these part numbers would be the best choice for correct spacing of the trim.

665-1103 - Bucket seat backs, door panels and rear cargo area side panels on the early AMX/Javelin.

665-1307 - Works perfectly for the vinyl roof trim on 71-72 Javelin, possibly other years too.  This clip works MUCH better than the clip I obtained from one of the well known AMC vendors, which were almost worthless. Cost is $5.49 for a bag of 13 pieces at my local NAPA.  I think 18 clips are needed per car on the 71 & 72 Javelin.

I'll add to this as I discover more of them.

I am restoring my interior for my 1974 AMX. The biggest problem I will have is getting correct screws and such since the previous owner used wood screws and I guess whatever he could find to slap the interior together. Any relavent info on proper fasteners would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the standard AMC vendors (APD, Kennedy, etc.) have interior screw kits.  I know they have them for the 68-70, and I believe for the later Javelins as well. Failing that, many Ace Hardware stores have a nice variety of automotive interior screws, though it will take a little more work to match them all up, and probably there will be some they don't have.  The vendor kits really simplify things.

Ford indeed used those 1943 clips, probably a bunch of the other makers too. Their problem is the welded on stud rusts off in the glass channel when they're in the windshield or back glass trim. As careful as I was trying to be, I lost three of those studs trying to replace the back glass trim on a '69 Falcon. Still, that car was over forty years old.... can't last forever. I know I'll need a pack or two of those others to refit the rear fender trim when I find some.

Yep, I broke one of the posts around the windshield on my '72  only a couple days ago.  Hopefully the other posts will keep the stainless trim from flying off.
