I'm working on my '69 Rebel Wagon. The soft lines at the radiator, is there a in and out? Or does it matter what one goes to? Thanks Scott

I don't know for sure. Intuitively I would think that if there is a high fitting and a low fitting, the high one would be in and the low one would be out. The cooler is submerged in coolant and the coolant is hotter higher in the radiator and cooler in the lower part of the radiator. A cooler in it would cool better if the hot fluid enters high and leaves low. At least that seems to make sense to me.

Technically it doesn't matter which is used as in or out. The trans cooler is in the bottom tank and horizontal, both connections should be on the same plane.

Farna, you are correct with a bottom cooler. I was thinking about an aluminum cross flow radiator that I used in one of my cars and it has the cooler in the side tank, with a high and low fitting. If it is in the bottom, go with what Farna said.
