The 4th annual Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Show and Drag Race will be held Saturday June 9th at Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland. Gates open at 8am.
 
Our East Coast Nostalgia Super Stock Association will be participating, and we'll be doing our best to represent AMC with our '69 AMX "Old Iron". Hopefully other AMCers will show up as well.

Just got back from a very crowded Cecil County Dragway. It was the biggest turnout I've ever seen, what a pity no AMC presence. I was very dissapointed that the AMC hobby was'nt represented with the exception of Old Iron 69 Amx and another local 70 Javelin show car. I think I saw one Amc shirt walking around, but otherwise no one else. I can't believe that all who complained about the AMC event being moved from Cecil didn't attend this event.

Joe,

There were a number of events running yesterday that may have taken some away from this one. Maple Grove had a Sat and Sun MOPAR event and Numidia had the .90 nationals. As for me, the car is up on jacks till the end of June for some maintenance, May was a hard month. I hope you had a good time however. Look forward to seeing you at MD on 28-July.

If the "Dummy" behind the wheel would've tapped the brakes at the traps instead of oogling in the rear view mirror at the 9 second Mopar that couldn't catch us, we would of been in the semi-finals at Cecil.
 
Instead we handed him the win on a breakout. But we did put a couple of very strong cars on the trailer as the lone AMC competitor so, oh well, still a good day of racing and we brought "Old Iron" home in one piece.
 
We'll be at Atco on Fathers Day to get after the ECNSSA big boys again.
