Yes it does, thanks Dennis.

Oz, I'd raise it and next time go w/ a 60 series.

I've just replaced the 235/65R15s on the 15x8s on the rear of my '69 and unfortunately "something" rubs .. The old tyres were the same size, but there you go. I suspect from looking at these photos my car is too low in the rear .. :(

 I hope these will help!

I think the 4" back space would alright, but I think the 245's with 4" back space would be a problem.

Yeah, It's the Javelin on the very first reply at the top of this page!! If that picture one is not good enough I'll look to see if I have a better one than that.

Do you have any trouble with the rear tires touching in hard corners?

Hey Billy
I checked and they are 3.75 back spacing front and rear.

No rub problems on the rear other than hard cornering on rough pavement. Sometimes one of the front tires rubs the wheel opening when I am pulling in or out of a driveway at an angle, but I think that can be fixed by just adjusting the fender at the front fender brace. When I first put the tires on the rear sat up too high, so I made some 1/2" spacer plates that go between the spring pack and rear housing. If I removed the spacer plates the rear tires would have more room but would look like a stink bug.

I have 17x8's on my 69 Javelin. 205's on the front and 245's on the back. Wheels have 4.5 inch backspace and I need to use a spacer up front.

There is more information on the site, some searching should find it.

Edit, found this...
