OEM Glass is another place that may be able to get you one. Also, if they can get them, you'd be able to get it either completely clear or with the factory (blueish) tint instead of tinted like a modern windshield and there's a good chance they can even date code it.

Ok, thanks everyone. I saw a few mail order places that say they have them as well as Ebay but was hoping to find somewhere local. Greg at Automania told me he had a new one still in the box, but if its anything like the motor he sold me I would be better off buying stock in gold coming out of Tempe Town Lake.   I will start calling around tomorrow. I was hoping as usual yaw would name the place and save me the frustration.

Check with Galvin's and Blaser's - according to my notes - both have access to a  source (probably the same one).
You might find a good used one in a wrecking yard - Vintage Salvage up here has the American that still has the glass in it

Safelite could not find a replacement for the Matador, but my insurance company did and it cost $1000.00.

We located a windshield for my car (65 Ambo wagon - the wagon glass is different than some of the other cars)- long story short... we have a replacement (vintage 1978) but the gasket needed replaced.  We are having the old windshield reseated with the new gasket - BUT I found a source "just in case" the glass broke.  I will have to go back through my notes to find the vendor. It was pricey and shipping was expensive - but I did find a source.

New windshields for 1965 Americans are hard to find. My local glass supplier has been looking for one since last year. He said that they are not currently being reproduced.

I contacted Safelight online on a Sunday night and had a Javelin windshield installed the next day. Since many year Ramblers shared the same windshield, if they are available, Safelight will find it.

Have you tried the local commercial auto glass companies?  You might luck out and find one there.
