Great work. And as life long frog fan, and I LOVE the sentimental graphics. Won't be as cool as your's but I think there's a perfect spot on the rear of my trunk lid begging for a tree frog.

last coat of primer

next coat of white sealer and white paint

then first coat of orange

still not the perfect orange that I want so on goes the gold pearl

then something to bring out the beautiful quarter panel
[

and a little special something to remember my 2 grandmothers and my mother who I all lost to cancer. (my mother was a self admitted frogaholic and each rose is my grandmothers favourites flowers.

the orange is now called sunshine orange but you cant walk in a paint shop and order since they matched my nail polish bottle :)

aww TY I must admit I had soooo much fun and its had its moment where I thought I was going to cry. when I bought mine it was sold as a donahue but further investigation showed that it wasnt.. A few things point that it might have been (altough quite a few things point that it wasnt) I decided to keep the wings and the donahue look. its just a gorgeous car no matter what you do.

Yes I am blessed with great family and friends some who thought me lots and others who are just always willing to help. My dad thought me ALOT of body work. and I am spoiled beyond wods that I get to use his garage, his tool and pick at his knowledge when I am stuck. The rear wheel well and the quarter panel were really really really really (did I say really? lol) bad. I found some out of fiberglass. then Dad said he would try to make me some. after hours on hours on hours of banging, cutting, more banging, then weld then more weld, then more banging, then more weld I must say I think father and daughter make a wicked team! the panels look great. planethouse had some and there is one supplier that had some and I believe he might have be in WI. super nice guy. shucks I am going to feel bad for not remembering let me go check my emails in case I kept it. brb

hey there, i saw your pictures of your project you shared and my god you put some time and sweat into that thing! I was GIVEN a 1970 Javelin Donohue edition by my best friends' dad(remodeled his kitchen for free, so not really given), and your project gives me hope that it can be restored someday! I was gonna ask where you got those quarter panels from but i see your father made them from scratch, that is amazing! turned out perfect! i too have to deal with a car that has seen some harsh winters, maybe not canada harsh, but wisconsin-minnesota salt and sitting a long time has done some damage.  anyways, just wanted to say again, how beautiful it turned out and what a great job you did on it!

I showed this thread to my friend who made the comment above and her suggestion was that we had to move next to each other, open a petting zoo (and now that I think perhaps a hobby museum) and with the $ we could buy more toys LOL I just love the idea! lol I'm sold

ok between javelin rob,Kevin and Oz you had me laughing out loud Oz we have 2 dogs ( both mix huskies weighing about 65 lbs each, 3 cats, 2 day driver cars and 2 muscle cars) yup I think our families would mesh great together LMAO! and ditto about posting the pictures lol!

TY I have to admit I started putting putty on it tonight with mixed emotions. I couldn't believe the find when we found him. He had not been on the road in 15 years and had been kept in a garage all these years. The owner had just taken him outside the year we bought him. Most cars out here are not in such a great shape by any means. The javelin was actually my valentine day gift back in 2009.
