April Fools comes early at Hot Rod. Steve Stanford the author of this article is a freelance artist who did a concept of an AMX/3 reproduction a couple of years ago for Kit Car magazine. The editor of Kit Car Magazine is a neighbor of mine and gave me Steve's phone number and address since I am making the AMX/3 reproductions. The phone is disconnected and the letter was returned undeliverable.
Steve, where are you??
Tom

Now you've gone and done it, I got to go out and buy a copy of Hot Rod.  I really enjoy Steve Stanford's designs and have used them as a base to build model cars and for poster's in the garage.  The Ambo is just flat wicked!

I fell for it. I hoped and believed it was possible a rich person brought back amc without us catching any wind of it. I mean parts of it sorta made sense and seemed unlikely but possible.. and in my great dream for it to be true.. i fell for it. I want it to be real. So what would it take? I mean it'd be worth it.. to have an avanti like company. I'm game if anyone else wants to make it real. (-=

I have an idea, let's build reproductions of AMC's greatest design, the AMX/3.

I've been gone for a couple of weeks and just found out about this April fools joke. Just the mentoin of AMC coming back had me secptical. But the article starts off kind of belivable Knowing someone out there is Crazy enough to build an AMX 3. Multable ones at that. I just didn't know AMX390 was a multimillinareLOL I'm personaly not insulted. I think it's good for these young kids who don't know AMC. I love the updates. Exelent concepts that propaly would sell good. and yes Frog , people do read these things on the forum. Some of us just has a touch of a.d.d. Wacko. And then I was walking down the street when...opps! got side tracked again!Wink
edit: insulted or not, how many of you bought a magazine you don't normaly buy? I hadn't bought a HotRod mag in over 15 years.  Theres that a.d.d. again  Sorry Frog.Unhappy

You ARE the man! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you reproducing the AMX/3 is the greatest thing to hit AMC hobby in decades!
